Mahatma Gandhi Welfare Trust was started in the year 2001. The Founder and The President of this trust is Mr.R.Rajkumar. Started this trust with few members and now it grown with 80 young members team. This crew started with blood donation camps at Vellakovil village in Tiruppur District. Now it’s gown to various social activities in joining both State and Central Government.

WHAT WE DO

Blood Donation camps

As of now 42 Blood Camps were conducted in Vellakovil.42nd Blood camp was conducted on 01-05-2022 at Vellakovil in cooperation with Govt Hospital and Dharapuram Blood Bank.

Disaster Relief Camps

Where ever a disaster occurred in around Tamilnadu, our Trust
Members open a special relief camp in Vellakovil and collected relief
materials from various places.

Planting Tree Saplings

We cleaned a dirty pond of 8.60 acre and planted many useful trees around the pond. We made to water stagnet to improve the groundwater level. Now it becomes a small bird sanctuary and it now improved.

Vellakovil Book Festival

In the year 2018 , Our Trust took initiated and conducted the Book Festival on July 3-5. It was one of the greatest milestones for our trust.In the year 2019, Our Trust took conducted 2nd Book Festival on June 28-July 2.

Vellakovil 1st Marathon – 2020 - created awareness on Ground level Water Management results in bringing water
to Vattamalai Dam after 30 years located near Vellakovil.
